Updated to the Public Beta, and the crash is gone! But now I'm getting "You do not have an up to date version of the XAudio2 libraries, which are a part of DirectX." which doesn't make any sense because I've already run the installer to ensure it's up to date. I opened the overlay again using the button on the controller and clicked on the desktop tab and saw the crash, looks like this: I started the game from the Steam overlay in the HMD, the overlay closed as it does when it usually starts a game, but it appeared like nothing was happening.
